Have you ever heard “Hippy Dippy Funky Monkey Double Bubble Sitar Man?” Well, the “Top Forty” radio stations throughout the country certainly have and play it often. This hit record is sung by The Hubbels, a fast moving talented couple. The Hubbels are Mary Ann Frazell, 21, and Bob Hubbel, 22. Bob writes lyrics and music, sings and plays the guitar, while Mary Ann sings. “Misty Morning,” which was the first song they sang together; and informal singing for friends sparked the idea for Mary Ann and Bob to sing and work together professionally. Both Bob and Mary Ann are skilled musicians; as a matter of fact, they met at Wittenberg University’s School of Music in 1966.
