Coming off their remarkable 2022 sophomore LP, West Winds, and a wildly successful 2023 tour of Japan, the musical brotherhood of musician and skateboard legend Tommy Guerrero and longtime collaborator and multi- instrumentalist Josh Lippi return with their third full-length album, Dusty Dreams.

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Rami Gabriel has been a motive force in rock n' roll, jazz, Arabic, and experimental music communities across North America for over twenty years. In that time, he has released numerous projects across genres and under many names. On his debut LP for Sooper Records, Rami trips all the breakers. In his own name and voice for the first time, That’s what I been sayin’ is not so much a debut as a conflagration in Rami Gabriel’s worldly underground.

Empires into Sand is the first album of new material from Normil Hawaiians in 40 years. The group first refined their sound during the early 80s, hitting on a pastoral experimentalism that drew on ambient drone, motorik impulse and post-punk pep. Empires into Sand came together in the familiar manner of their original three albums, with improvisation and nuance informing the blueprint of the tracks.

It’s burning, everything is catching fire, and Aquaserge are singing and dancing on the embers of a world contemplated in a rear-view mirror. A world which is hyper-connected, yet forgets its primary emotions.

Almost all bands do it backward and upside-down. They start with years of playing live, creating their music in the crucible of performance with all of its impurities and in-the-moment inspirations, before committing said music to a recording that fixes it into an ostensible, exemplary form that eternally serves as an ultimate reference. And then maybe, someday, a few albums down the road, when the tours are shorter and less frequent and the cupboard is looking a little bare, they excavate and massage some favorite board recordings into a live album to fill a gap in some capitalist imagining of “career.”

A year and 5 albums after he has brought the Manna/Mirage project to a close, ex-Muffins musician / composer Dave Newhouse has produced a new album under the moniker of…’Dave Newhouse’, this one titled “Natura Morta”, Latin for Still Life. Many of the same musical suspects (guest musicians) from around the world are involved, this one is a bit longer than the aforementioned Manna/Mirage albums clocking in at around 43 minutes. It still has that signature AmeriCanterbury / Muffins compositional ethic as well as fast and furious examples of fusion / jazz rock, RIO, World Music, Americana, and alt-jazz. Even John Greaves (Henry Cow / Kew Rhône / National Health) makes a lovely appearance here. as does Guy Segers (Univers Zero / Eclectic Maybe Band).

Pacific Eardrum is a jazz-rock band in late 1970's, co-lead by New Zealander keyboardist Dave McRae and his wife Joy Yates. The project issued two albums, "Pacific Eardrum" in 1977 and "Beyond Panic" in 1978, and ended its activity in 1979.

Imagine Kate Bush and Tori Amos wrote a yacht doom album satirising the edgelord-tech-billionaire-worship generation, recorded by Peter Gabriel and Michael McDonald in the early 80s using an industry prerelease unit of the late 90s Yamaha PSR-8000 synthesiser, several heavily distorted guitars, and a baby grand.

Elysian Fields recorded What The Thunder Said in New York with their French rhythm section (Matthieu Lopez and Olivier Pérez) and longtime creative collaborators Ed Pastorini and Thomas Bartlett. James Yost co-produced, recorded and mixed, bringing forth Oren and Jennifer’s sweeping sonic universes while the experience of lives lived in nearly 30 years together as a band are revealed in the lyrics. In that narrative, scattered with images of nature and the urban landscape, EF asks the big questions, mining the canvas of the world around them for the axioms and affections that help to tell the stories only Elysian Fields can conjure. Sometimes through myth, sometimes through the tragicomic, and always through poetry imbued with searching and longing, EF continues to inhabit and reflect back to us the deepest truths of the human experience.

Embark on a mesmerising journey with the third and culminating chapter of the highly acclaimed trilogy by Steve Kilbey and Martin Kennedy. Building on the success of Jupiter 13 (2021) and The Strange Life of Persephone Nimbus (2022), their latest epic, Premonition K, unveils a sumptuous and organic sonic landscape, delving into the dark and enigmatic realms that exist between the boundaries of life and death. This album, a testament to their musical synergy, encapsulates a darkly beautiful soundscape, drawing inspiration from diverse sources, ranging from the haunting tones of Roger Waters' Final Cut to the shadowy depths explored by early 1970s Black Sabbath.

The album is taken from the Trident Studios 1/4” stereo tapes dated 15th December 1971, which were created for the then-provisional track listing of what would become THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS album. The tracklisting for Waiting In The Sky (Before The Starman Came To Earth) runs differently from the Ziggy Stardust album and features four songs that didn’t make the final album.

Formed in 1981, The Blue Aeroplanes are Bristol’s longest running band and a true art-rock institution who have inspired countless post-punk and alternative groups including R.E.M., Radiohead, and Manic Street Preachers. ‘Beatsongs’ was first released in 1991 and became their highest charting album, featuring standout tracks such as ‘Yr Own World’, ‘Fun’, ‘Colour Me’, and ‘The Boy In The Bubble’ (a cover of the Paul Simon classic).

In April 2022 The Holy Family played the legendary Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands and enthralled a packed room. Now, two years on we are extremely happy to be able to share with you the live recording of this memorable event.

The second album by underground rock-and-beyond shapeshifters The Holy Family comes complete with a heavy concept for the psychedelically inclined, and pairs this with music which does this justice and then some. Go Zero follows up the British group’s widely praised self-titled debut from 2021 and – says foundational member David Jason Smith – “is based on a hypothetical theory that there is no such thing as ‘the future’. We are continually moving forward into our past until we arrive at our birth – creation – the Tree Of Knowledge… or ‘Going Zero’, as I’ve termed it.” It figures, then, that over some 40 minutes the five musicians conjure a sound that exhibits an affinity with great experimental totems down the ages, in a manner that’s avowedly forward-facing and stamped with their own identity.

King Crimson 1969-1972 is a limited edition boxed set presenting the band's celebrated quartet of studio albums from that period — In The Court Of The Crimson King, In The Wake Of Poseidon, Lizard, Islands — in their 40th anniversary edition mixes (created by Steven Wilson and Robert Fripp between 2009-2010).
