2014 remastered and expanded two CD edition of her 1988 album originally a UK-only release that marked Zadora's return to the pop/dance fold after achieving credibility with her readings of R&B standards. The Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis' production is slick at times but the songs are well-crafted. Up-tempo numbers comprise with the understated 'Still Remembered' and pulsating 'Dance Out of My Head' making the strongest impressions. However, it's the ballads that Zadora is most comfortable with, and the standout is 'Since I've Been Lovin' You.' a calming number built simply on keyboard layering's and Zadora's vocal, it exemplifies her penchant for subtle R&B styling's and strays from the massive production of several other cuts. 'Silence' is a close match, demonstrating her proficiency in the soprano range. The track listing is evenly split between energetic dance-pop numbers and sullen R&B ballads. From the kinetic, catchy 'Laughin' at You' to the pensive, romantic 'Since I've Been Lovin' You,' this set effectively captures many moods in one listen. The bonus disc includes rare tracks and remixes.

U2's first two greatest-hits albums neatly divided themselves by decade, with the first covering the '80s and the second summing up the '90s. Their third hits comp, 2006's U218 Singles, is at once more ambitious and more concise, offering an overview of their first 26 years on a single disc comprised of 18 tracks – and since two of those are new songs, that leaves just 16 songs to tell their whole story. That's not much space for a band with a career as lengthy and ambitious as U2, so it's inevitable that some painful cuts have been made. Nothing from October, Zooropa or Pop is here, and unless you're buying various import editions that have "I Will Follow" as a bonus track, there's nothing from Boy, either. There's only one cut each from The Unforgettable Fire and Rattle and Hum – and bucking conventional wisdom, none of their three widely accepted masterpieces – War, The Joshua Tree, or Achtung Baby – provide the most songs here. No, out of all their albums the one that dominates U218 Singles is All That You Can't Leave Behind, their 2000 comeback from the depths of the misguided Pop, and one of two records that they've released since their last hits compilation, The Best of 1990-2000.

Digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition. Carly's classic comeback album celebrates turning 30 with a deluxe edition curated by the lady herself… Carly Simon first burst on to the pop scene in 1971. By the mid-'80s, Simon's album sales had declined and she felt less relevant in the marketplace. That all changed when Clive Davis signed her to Arista Records, which had already restored the commercial fortunes of both Dionne Warwick and Aretha Franklin. Simon's first release on the label was her 1986 single "Coming Around Again" which was the theme song from the movie Heartburn starring Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson. The single made #18, returning Simon to the Billboard top 20 for the first time in six years. The song also made #5 on the AC chart, and went on to make the top ten in the UK and Ireland. Coming Around Again followed in April 1987 with production from the likes of Paul Samwell-Smith, Frank Filipetti, John Boylan and Richard Perry and made #25 in both the US and UK. Hot Shot Records' deluxe edition of Coming Around Again features 17 bonus tracks and an in-depth interview with Carly.

The album also features in the book, '1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die'. The album features the hit singles 'Stolen Car' and 'Central Reservation' and is now re-issued with a second disc of material compiled by Beth. It features key b-sides, including the Spiritual Life Ibadon remix of title track 'Central Reservation' plus unreleased live recordings and demos. The expanded packaging features brand new sleevenotes including a new interview with Beth. "A space cowgirl with a stolen car heart, Beth remembers: listening back to the record now, I enjoy hearing the melodies and how I played with them and the words. The making of records is often a period of redemption for me and the recording of Central Reservation was the actualizing of all my most positive thoughts".

With 2020's Sunset in the Blue singer Melody Gardot sinks into a dusky and languorously produced album that builds upon her love of jazz standards, Brazilian music, and intimate balladry. The record finds Gardot surrounded by a production dream team, including longtime associate Larry Klein, who helmed 2009's My One and Only Thrill and 2015's Currency of Man, as well as equally acclaimed studio pros, arranger Vince Mendoza and engineer Al Schmitt. Together, they have crafted a showcase for Gardot's delicately nuanced vocal style. The album is an interesting dichotomy, at once intimate as if Gardot is singing to you in a small club, yet also widescreen, framing her hushed vocals in sweeping orchestrations that reinforce the romantic drama at play in the songs. The opening original "If You Love Me Let Me Know," sounds like something Dinah Washington or Abbey Lincoln might sing, but filtered through the half-lidded scrim of Gardot's bedroom intimacy. Equally evocative moments follow, as on the yearning "You Won't Forget Me," in which Gardot balances a wry cabaret theatricality à la Marlene Dietrich with a tangible sadness that never feels anything but real. Elsewhere, she gently wades into a handful of earthy bossa nova songs, including a gorgeously attenuated reading of the Ella Fitzgerald number "C'est Magnifique" featuring Brazilian singer António Zambujo and a crackling take of Marco Paulo's "Ninguem, Ninguem" that she sings in Portuguese. We also get a movie theme-ready version of "From Paris with Love," as well as memorable takes on classics like "Moon River" and "I Fall in Love Too Easily." From beginning to end, Gardot's Sunset in the Blue holds you in its deeply rapturous glow.

This 1972 film broke reggae into U.S. pop culture with Jimmy Cliff's Many Rivers to Cross ; the Maytals' Pressure Drop , and the rest of its stellar soundtrack. 30 years later Island and Hip-O teamed to create this 2-CD edition, the definitive master of the original plus 18 cuts of crucial 1968-72 reggae: Guava Jelly Johnny Nash; Sweet Sensation Melodians, and many more of Cliff's classics. Great new liners, too! Jamaican filmmaker Perry Henzell made reggae an integral player in his gritty 1973 saga of a renegade Kingston singer who becomes a modern Robin Hood, casting one of the style's earliest stars, Jimmy Cliff, in the lead, and filling this soundtrack–here presented in a remastered version–with classics from Toots & the Maytals ("Pressure Drop," "Sweet and Dandy"), Desmond Dekker ("Shanty Town"), the Melodians ("Rivers of Babylon"), and the Slickers ("Johnny Too Bad"). Cliff himself gets pole position, however, getting in the first ("You Can Get It If You Really Want") and last ("The Harder They Come") words in this first-rate reggae primer, which also features Cliff's enduring "Many Rivers to Cross." –Sam Sutherland

Snakefinger surely needs not much of an introduction. Born Philip Charles Lithman in London, he moved to San Francisco in 1971. His roots lie in the British blues scene, but he soon became friends with The Residents who also gave him the name Snakefinger based on a photograph of Lithman performing, in which his finger looks like a snake about to attack his violin. In 1972 Lithman returned to England and formed the pub rock band Chilli Willi and the Red Hot Peppers. After the lack of success of the second album, he returned to the states and work on his first solo album began. "Chewing Hides The Sound" came out in 1979 on Ralph Records. It includes classics such as his Kraftwerk cover "The Model", "What Wilbur?" and "Picnic In The Jungle". The songs on the album were co-written with The Residents. The music showcased Lithman's distinctive slide guitar playing and often surreal imagery. At the same time, a string of singles was released. All tracks that were exclusive to these releases are added as bonus tracks here. Very recently, a so far unknown remix of the whole album was discovered in the Residents' archive. It was made in 1987 in preparation for the Snakey Wake by The Residents and has never been published in any form. Klanggalerie are now proud to present you this lost gem for the first time ever.
